Timeline
In addition to our narrative, which focused mainly on what the dataset could tell us about predicting happiness and potential predictors that were left out of the dataset, our timeline provides some further historical context into how and when frameworks of measuring happiness were developed, as well as how they are officially recognized by governments and international organizations today.
This is significant because when investigating how subjective happiness can be measured in some objective “one size fits all” way, it is important to consider what different indexes exist for measuring happiness, as well as the conditions that surround their founding and how they are currently used today.
